Niamh Whooley, Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Investing
Niamh Whooley is a Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Investing at Pemberton. She is responsible for driving the firm’s continued growth trajectory as an ESG pioneer in the alternative credit direct lending space.
Niamh brings over 18 years of leadership and hands-on expertise in sustainable investing, where she has been dedicated to developing end-to-end ESG (environmental social governance) investment solutions across asset classes, ranging from sustainability-focused investment research and integration to commercial messaging and delivery.
Prior to joining Pemberton, Niamh was Global Head of Fixed Income ESG at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Her role centred on working closely with analysts, economists and portfolio teams to define the intersection of material ESG factors and fundamental investing within corporate, emerging market and sovereign debt. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Niamh was a Senior Vice President at PIMCO, where as Head of the ESG Desk she served on the firm’s CIO-chaired ESG Executive Leadership Committee. Before that she was Director, ESG Equity Investment Research at Societe Generale for more than 6 years, while she began her sustainable investing career at Fidelity International in 2005.
Niamh received her MBA from University College Dublin (UCD) and her Bachelor of Arts from University College Cork (UCC).
Nachu Chockalingam, CFA, Head of London Credit, Federated Hermes Limited
Nachu joined in March 2018 as a credit portfolio manager and is now Head of London Credit, co-managing Federated Hermes Limited’s range of credit portfolios, many of which have a sustainability overlay. She joined from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where she was a portfolio manager responsible for the plan’s active investments in emerging markets and European credit. Nachu started her career at JPMorgan in London as a sell-side analyst where she spent 13 years covering, firstly, European high yield and investment grade and then CEEMEA credit. Nachu graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in Economics and is a CFA charterholder.

Javiera Ragnartz, CEO, SEB Asset Management
Javiera Ragnartz has more than 23 years of investment experience and currently serves as CEO of Asset Management. The company has more than 100b Euro in AUM managed in a broad range of institutional mandates and mutual funds covering all major asset classes and alternatives. Previously, Ragnartz was CIO at AMF Pension. Javiera has also served as CEO of Handelsbanken Funds and as Head of Institutional Asset Management at SEB. She started her career in 1996 at the Swedish central bank where she was Head of Financial markets research. Ragnartz graduated from School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg with a Fil Lic in Finance.
