On March 9, KvinnoKapital and Storebrand Asset Management will join forces to celebrate the International Women Day 2020.

Barbara Stewart will release and share her latest Rich Thinking Research with us: “Smart Women – Top Tips for Business Success”

Her presentation will be followed by an interesting panel discussion featuring three women with inspiring careers in finance and academia.

About Barbara Stewart

Barbara Stewart is a Chartered Financial Analyst with 28 years of investment industry experience; five years as a foreign currency trader and then more than two decades as a portfolio manager investing on behalf of high net worth entrepreneurs. 10 years ago Barbara saw a need to challenge outdated financial industry stereotypes and share positive messages about women and money. Today, Barbara is recognized worldwide as one of the leading researchers in women and finance. Her Rich Thinking® global research papers quote smart women from all ages, professions and countries and are released annually on International Women’s Day, March 8.  Barbara is a columnist for CFA Institute, Canadian Money Saver, and Golden Girl Finance. She is also on the Advisory Board of Kensington Capital Partners in Toronto.

Barbara is a keynote speaker for CFA Societies, banks and stock exchanges around the world, and conducts interview driven research for financial institutions in Canada and globally.

About Sheila Wang

Professor Sheila Wang is a business leader in the US and Asia and brings a unique East-meets-West business and academia perspective. She initiated and built Singapore’s first experiential learning program for MBAs, launching and helming the flagship Management Practicum experiential learning program for the National University of Singapore. Her students have had the opportunity to work alongside corporate C-suite leaders across 12 industries spanning Asia, Europe and the US.

Sheila also teaches MBAs and Executives on Operations Leadership and was the recipient of the NUS Teaching Excellence Award.

Prior to joining academia, Sheila held business leadership roles in the Silicon Valley and in Asia Pacific, serving as the Director of Asia Pacific and later the Worldwide Director of a US$ 2billion-dollar operation for Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. She has led teams of over a hundred specialized professionals worldwide for the sourcing, evaluation, strategic partnerships and alliances with business partners delivering leading-edge technologies, products and services.

Sheila advises Fortune 100 global multinational corporations and serves on the Board of several universities. She is a Stanford University SAA Board Director, the Advisor to the President of the National Tsing Hua University, and has served as NIC Advisory Member of the Ministry of Education, the Board Governor and Chair of the Curriculum Committee, Chair of WASC Accreditation Committee, and Chair of the Superintendent Search Committee of the Singapore American School.

About Kine Burøy-Olsen

Kine Burøy-Olsen Partner And Chief Investment Officer at Cubera Private Equity. Prior to co-founding Cubera in 2006, Kine worked at Argentum Fondinvesteringer, a Norwegian government enterprise that participates as a minority owner in private equity funds. She holds a MSc from BI Norwegian Business School.

The Cubera Group is a three-pronged investment group offering Primary and Secondary private equity programs for its partners through Cubera Private Equity, and Nordic fund administration through Permian. The group is today advising EURm 800 for an international investor base and is administering EURbn 2 for Nordic AIF managers. Cubera is fully Partner-owned and operates out of Oslo and Stockholm.

About Sandra di Rocco

Sandra di Rocco has become Dean of the faculty of Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in January 2020. She has been the director of the Department of Mathematics at KTH since 2012, and occupied several academic positions in the same institution since 1998. Sandra graduated from the Universita del Aquila in Italy in 1991 and completed both a MSc and PhD at the University of Notre Dame in the U.S. in 1996.
