Bubbles & Mingle: Women on Boards

Come mingle and enjoy some refreshing bubbles courtesy of Ress Capital to discuss the possibilities and hurdles of getting women on boards.

For this first event of the year, a distinguished panel of no less than five experts will discuss the different aspects of gender diversity on Boards. How hard is it to find competent women but also, how difficult is it to find your way to a board seat? Questions from participants will be very welcome!

Your experts

Cecilia Thomasson Blomquist
Cecilia Thomasson Blomquist started her career at the treasury department of Swedish construction company NCC in the late 80s where she worked for eight years, acquiring experience in fixed income. In 1997, she moved to AP1 to become senior portfolio manager in the same asset class. She stayed with the state pension fund where she was part of the management team until 2009 when she took the role of Chief Investment Officer at PP Pension which is the role she holds to this day. She is also currently sitting on the board of Stiftelsen Stockholms Sjukhem, a non-profit organization that provides elderly care and healthcare rehabilitation to people with long-term sickness. Stockholms Sjukhem is also an appointed University Hospital appointed by Karolinska Institutet and Region Stockholm.

 

Gustaf Hagerud
Gustaf Hagerud is Managing Director at Ress Capital. He was previously Partner at a fund manager in London. Prior to this, Gustaf was Head of Asset Management and deputy CEO of the public pension fund AP3, one of the largest pension funds in Scandinavia with global investments in most asset classes. Gustaf worked for seven years at AP3 and prior to that ten years with global tactical asset allocation at Alecta and AP1. He has also been a trader in various positions at major banks. Gustaf holds a PhD in Finance from Stockholm School of Economics, a MA in Economics from University of British Columbia and a BA in Economics from the University of Stockholm. His research is focused on volatility forecasting. He is also an author of a textbook on the Swedish financial markets.

 

Ann-Sophie Hesser
Ann-Sophie Hesser is a non-executive board member at Ress Capital. She is an experienced lawyer with extensive business experience from the financial industry as well as compliance and regulatory issues. She is a founding partner, and currently works, at Apriori Advokatbyrå in Stockholm. Ann-Sophie previously worked as General Counsel and was part of the management team of GE Money Bank during eight years. Prior to that she was a lawyer at the major Swedish law firm, Mannheimer Swartling, with a focus on M&A and private equity. Ann-Sophie is also a board member of the fintech company Rocker AB (publ). Ann-Sophie holds a law degree from Lund University.

 

Tina Söderlund-Boley
Tina Söderlund-Boley is a non-executive board member at Ress Capital. She has an international finance background and lives in London since many years. Her latest assignment was as Investment Strategist for Europe and Asia at Fiera Capital, focusing on international projects, including ESG, product development, sales and marketing, as well as Nordic clients. From 2000 – 2018 she headed up the Northern European institutional and intermediary sales for a large Swiss listed fund manager. Since 2018 she also acts as a board director and invests in technology companies. Tina holds a Law degree from Uppsala University.

 

Anna Schauman
Anna Schauman is a Partner and Senior Consultant at Novare where leads the finance team. She mainly recruits ant management group and board level in finance, real estate and private equity. She has extensive experience of executive search and previous experience from operational management roles in trading and asset management at SEB. Anna has Studied at Stockholm Universtiy and at Harvard Business School.
