“My life hack has always been my high level of energy and positive approach to new things.”
Can you tell us about your new job?
I have just started as the new Head of Marketing and Digital Sales at Nordnet. So far it has been a whirlwind of positive energy, new ideas and creativity that is contagious. The ambition is to become ‘The most inspiring’ firm in our field and we are doing our utmost to engage, enlighten and motivate clients and prospects about savings and investments.
What is the one thing that decided you to take it?
To be able to be part of a movement that is aiming at democratizing savings and investments, make it easy and not least fun to actually save and invest for the future is amazing. It is such an important mission as we know that indebtedness amongst the general public is increasing and to personally save, invest and take responsibility for your finances is key in todays society.
For me personally to be part of such a stellar marketing team is a privilege. Our most recent marketing concept ‘Joy of Savings’ is great and I love everything about that campaign.
Nordnet as a firm is heavily focused on tech and being in the forefront of new developments. The fact that we launch a new version of our App every third day(!) with new features says it all. We are improving our platform and ways of working with AI constantly which is futureproofing our platform and offering, and to be part of that is also a way of futureproofing yourself as a marketing professional.
What is your best memory from the job you are just leaving?
I enjoyed working at Schroders in the Nordic region and I will truly miss the team. Schroders is a world-class investment organisation with really high standards and professionalism at its core. The fact that I had colleagues all around the world made it very dynamic. To be able to speak to your peers within the organisation in Singapore, New York, London and Paris on a day to day basis is fantastic.
Can you share a tip or a life hack that has helped you in your career? What was the outcome?
My life hack has always been my high level of energy and positive approach to new things. Those personality traits combined with a focus on ‘Get shit done’ has proven a good mix in workplaces with a high performance culture.
Working abroad, which I did for almost 10 years, is also a great experience that can give you new perspectives and an understanding of other cultures and complex organisations.
